Currently working for the Food Advanced Training Partnership, a Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) initiative. The BBSRC has funded four complementary Advanced Training Partnerships nationally to ensure that the UK continues to make significant contributions towards global food sustainability through the supply of individuals with the right skills to address the complex challenges it presents.
The Food Advanced Training Partnership, led by the University of Reading with the University of Birmingham, Leatherhead Food Research and Rothamsted Research, in partnership with the food industry, is funded by this initiative to provide sustainable collaborations between users and providers of high-level skills at Masters Degree level and above in the agri-food sector to provide training for food industry professionals focusing on the sustainable production of quality food and its impact on health and the environment.
The Food ATP aims to develop highly skilled food industry leaders of tomorrow and aims to encourage industry-wide ‘without boundaries’ thinking to stimulate innovative and sustainable approaches to the production of quality food that benefits human health.united kingdom
