Biography

Isabel is the Spanish Assistant Lecturer in the School of Arts and Humanities at Coventry University where she started working in 2010. Isabel graduated from University of Jaén with a BA in English and Tourism (2009). She is a Qualified Teacher in Spain and in England. She has worked at University of Jaén and different secondary schools in Coventry. Isabel is involved in teaching Spanish Language and Culture, Spanish for Business and Introduction to Hispanic Societies. She is the responsible for the Spanish Conversation classes offered to all undergraduates in Spanish studies and she leads the Language Exchange Club on Fridays. She achieved her online MA in Applied Linguistics in Spanish as a Foreign Language (2014) at The Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER). Her research interests revolve around language learning and teaching through new technologies, second language acquisition and Spanish culture. Isabel is an official examiner for DELE, accredited by the Instituto Cervantes in London. She is currently Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Adacemy (HEA).
