Mr John Fowler is an applied linguist and Lecturer in EAP at Coventry University.

He has worked in the field of education in SW China since 2007, and has been based in Chongqing full time on the Sino-UK Collaborative Commercial Law LLB Programme since 2015.

John’s area of expertise is language testing, and prior to his role for CU, worked for the British Council in high stakes examinations for 6 years.

His main research areas are the use of technology in delivering language provision, ESAP and developing NNS critical thinking skills
