Dr Rochelle Sassman is Principal Lecturer in Information Systems in the School of Computing, Electronics and Mathematics at Coventry University. She has been involved in teaching in the areas of information systems, operational research and knowledge management at undergraduate and postgraduate level for the past fifteen years. Her research interests are focused on the use of knowledge management to improve healthcare disparities, especially in developing countries.
She is the Course Director for Management of Information Systems (MIS) and Management of Information Technology (MIT) postgraduate courses. As a course director and module leader, she has knowledge of the various quality management processes involved in module and course development, approval and delivery.
Rochelle has extensive experience in overseas partnership development and collaboration. She is the current Link Tutor for MBA courses in Tanzania, Africa having previously undertaken a similar role at a collaborating institution in Hong Kong. She has attended several national and international validation events, as a course member and panel member. She also has external examiner experience for information systems courses.
In addition to a PhD in Knowledge Management, she holds an MSc degree in Information Technology for Management, a BSc(Ed) in Mathematics and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. She is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
