Project Overview

This is an innovative project which uses robot technology to enhance the OIL experience.

It takes place in Coventry Law School’s advocacy programme and involves students who are looking after cases they are preparing for the tribunal. It involves students from Stellenbosch’s legal clinic who are interested in learning about another jurisdications legal processes.

It allows CU students and Stellenbosch students to work together preparing for cases and conducting the interview together. It will conclude with a mock tribunal where Stellenbosch students take part with CU students overseen by a real tribunal judge.

Project Outcomes

(1) To enhance students’ international/intercultural awareness and transferable employability skills in a global context.
(2) To enhance students’ legal skills through the use of international collaboration.
(3) To raise students’ online communicative competence in academic and professional settings.
(4) To enable students to practice digital competences to co-construct collaborative multimedia learning objects.
