Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) projects are designed and developed by project leaders at Coventry University and partner institutions around the globe, with the support of a team of experts in internationalisaton of the curriculum (IoC) at the Centre for Global Engagement and learning technologists at faculties.
Ruth manages the Intercultural Engagement team, tasked with leading the development and growth of institution-wide capacity building for COIL as part of Coventry University’s Internationalisation Agenda. Ruth’s role is to Monitor, evaluate and report on COIL activity; develop ongoing COIL training for both internal and external staff; and work in close collaboration with students, academic and professional services staff across the Coventry University group, as well as external stakeholders to ensure effective management of projects. Ruth has also undertaken online facilitation training and personally run several COIL projects.

Monika has been working in the COIL Team since year 2016. At the beginning of her journey with COIL she managed all the administrative processes and liaised with the Internationalisation Teams across the university to ensure collaboration. Currently, she has mainly been working on training academic staff as well as overseeing other developments such as COIL certification process that is closely linked to the way of incentivising staff and students participating in COIL projects.

Federica’s educational background is in Psychology, Education and Communications Studies. At Coventry University since 2016, in her current role she is in charge of administrative management and monitoring of COIL projects for the whole University group (Faculties and subsidiaries). She liaises with Internationalisation teams, internal and external stakeholders to support current projects and to develop new collaborations with institutions abroad. She is also involved in supporting the communications and infrastructural aspects of research projects in partnership with GLEA.
