International Research Perspectives from Hong Kong

International Research Perspectives from Hong Kong

Nursing

Hong Kong / United Kingdom

Overview

The aim of the project is to enable two groups of nursing students in Hong Kong and the UK to collaboratively explore differences and similarities in nursing research that may exist between their two health cultures.

This project involved building on already existing links with Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU) to create a mutually educational opportunity for adult and child nursing students at Coventry to view completed research project presentations from HKPU general nursing students.

The Coventry nursing students were then invited to comment on the projects viewed online and give written feedback concerning the nature and international similarities or differences between nursing research in Hong Kong and the UK..

This feedback was then reflected upon by the HKPU students who then revised their final research presentations in direct response to our student’s feedback.

Aims of the project

  • To increase nursing students understanding of nursing research in Hong Kong as compared to the UK.
  • To increase nursing students understanding of nurse education in Hong Kong as compared to the UK.
